Mr. Rimmer reminded me of this holiday that seems to be coming up. Christmas, correct? Last year I recall spending money on my friends, but those friends I do not see much any more. Are they still friends? I believe so as I miss them terribly. Perhaps I should attempt to locate them and send them a letter of the sorts for the holiday.

In the mean time I shall find some gifts for those back home, and while I am certain they will not understand the holiday they will appreciate them anyway. This last minute holiday shopping was not quite fun last year, so perhaps I shall go to the store this weekend. Lily would you like to join me?

Mr. Rimmer I would love to go out with you again in the future. I have never heard such tales before and they are quite fascinating! I do hope you do not mind my constant questions. The very ideas of space travel are nothing short of incredible and yet we are incapable of such a feat. I must tell my Uncle Cid! He would be curious enough to know more about how it is possible.

I wonder, though, how Abe is doing... It seems many people come and go from our lives that we either forget them, or they are forever a constant on our minds. I hope that one day we can meet again.

Right, so it's getting to be about time for finals. I'm not much in the mood to study for those, but at least I've got some good things sent in from home to eat while I'm doing that. If you would rather I move it to Albert’s [deleted] my own room for them, then that’s no problem, but I thought it would look rather nice lit up in the common area. Most of the bottom is decorated, convoluted maybe, but decorated none the less. So if you want to add anything to the top of it considering it’s rather scarce up there then, be my guest.

Of course, this reminds me that I should probably look into doing Christmas shopping. Maybe I’ll get to that this weekend.

I’m making use of the blankets that Miss Morrigan got for me, drinking the tea Miss Maron brought over and I took some advil and not moving much like both Miss Morrigan and Mama told me to. Looking over class lists is getting repetitive and slightly irritating, there isn’t all that much that I want to look into, to be honest — I might go ahead and take a class in theater or two, just because they do seem interesting and there were never anything like that at my other school. I’m not even going to say Hogwarts. Because that might get the loonies to talk to me, and I don’t want to have anything else going on like I have with Sev … Snape, right now. [deleted] Maybe some sciences and I suppose that I could look into some of those magic classes, I didn’t think that there were so many people here that could do magic, surprises all around it seems.

Actually, I think that I might take something to do with the piano, too. I remember taking lessons when I was younger, before I went off to my other school, so maybe that would be nice to look into. There’s basic piano, but I don’t think that I need to go that far down, it’s not like I don’t recall the keys or something. That’s alright though, I do have some time still, but I would like to get the schedule I want o I should look into putting it in soon. Actually now that I think about it, I’ll probably take potions too. I do miss mixing potions.

Oh, thanks for the tutoring this weekend, Sev professor Snape. Should we make that a weekend thing or something, perhaps? Wouldn’t want to slip, after all.

Kali, also known as Kalika, was once considered to be the Hindu goddess associated with eternal energy. Her name, Kali, roughly translated means “black”, but by folk etymology has come to mean “force of time” — though that would be ‘Kala’. Despite her negative connotations, Kali is now considered the Goddess of time and change rather than the dark and violent woman that she is at times depicted to be. Her earliest incarnation was that of a figure of annihilation which still has some influence in the Hindu civilization.

More complex Tantric beliefs seem to extend her role so far as to be the “ultimate reality” or ‘Brahman’, also revered to as Bhavatarini: which literally translates to “redeemer of the universe”. However, recent findings have begun with Tantrics to largely conceive Kali as a benevolent mother goddess rather than the dark depictions that were firstly formed with her godly abilities.

Kalika is the foremost among the Dasa-Mahavidyas, ten fierce Tantric goddesses and is often represented as the consort of god Shiva, known as the “Feared One” or “the Destroyer” whom is a major Hindu god and one aspect of Trimurti, on whose body she is often seen standing.

And Mr. Douglas seems to have some extra work for me. He really seems adamant on getting me to drop by his office this late at night. It wouldn't be the first time someone wanted me to visit after hours. I better make sure that those papers he wanted me to grade were finished. I feel like a secretary rather than a teaching assistant. Those kids really know how to bullshit a paper, that's for certain. Anthropology isn't just about dates. Though I wonder if I should brush up on a few of them myself.
